Three large bedrooms, two en-suites and a family bathroom. A fourth bedroom may be available by advance arrangement for an additional fee. A cot and highchair can also be requested in advance.

Every bedroom has air conditioning with cooling, heating and dehumidifying modes. Please switch it off while out. Hot water is solar heated and can be very hot; an immersion heater supports it in cooler weather.

The kitchen includes an electric hob, oven, microwave/grill, warming drawer, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, cafetière and filter coffee pot. The utility room has a washing machine and an outdoor drying area.

Television includes Portuguese and international channels plus UK and sports programming. Appliance and TV instructions are kept at the villa.

Pool, garden & outdoor living

The garden and pool are serviced twice weekly from June to October and weekly outside the season. Some garden drops are unprotected, so take care and supervise children.

Children must never be left unattended near the pool. Shower before swimming and use the non-breakable plates and cups provided—no glass around the pool or patios.

There is an outdoor dining area and a charcoal barbecue. Keep the lit barbecue attended, clear of foliage and structures, allow coals to extinguish naturally, and clean it after use. Close parasols when not in use and do not erect them in high winds.

Keep indoor furniture, cushions and bedding inside; avoid sitting on indoor furniture in wet clothing or while wearing sunscreen.

Housekeeping & practicalities

A midweek bathroom-towel change is included. Stays of two weeks or longer also receive a mid-stay clean and bed-linen change. Washing-up and rubbish removal remain guests’ responsibility.

There is no door-to-door rubbish collection. Please take waste and recycling to the large green bins and recycling points on the main road, and do not leave food waste in the villa.

Bottled drinking water is recommended. The Algarve can experience drought-related pressure reductions or temporary cuts, so please conserve water and avoid non-essential outdoor use.

Close and lock windows and exterior doors whenever you leave. Shutters add security and help keep rooms cool. Brush off beach sand before using baths or showers.

Carvoeiro & the Algarve

Golden beaches, clifftop walks and easy village evenings

Once a small fishing village, Carvoeiro has kept its easygoing character. It is one of the Algarve’s best-loved coastal resorts, with golden coves, clear Atlantic water, excellent restaurants and lively bars—all in a compact, walkable centre.

The clifftop boardwalk begins beside Vilas do Mar and leads towards the extraordinary rock formations at Algar Seco. In summer, the village square hosts live music from June to the end of September, while nearby beaches, boat trips and coastal trails make exploring the wider Algarve wonderfully easy.

Useful for every stay

Your Carvoeiro & Algarve guide

Local highlights and useful travel information for guests staying at any of our three properties.

Carvoeiro & the coast

Carvoeiro is a former fishing village known for golden coves, clear water and dramatic limestone cliffs. Praia do Carvoeiro is the central beach; Praia do Paraíso and Praia do Vale Centeanes are nearby alternatives.

Explore Algar Seco and the Carvoeiro Boardwalk, take a boat trip to the caves and Benagil, or try kayaking and paddleboarding. The village square is the hub for cafés, restaurants, shops, evening entertainment and seasonal cultural events.

Local golf includes Vale de Milho and Gramacho. Supermarkets and everyday shops are available in and around the village, while nearby Lagoa and Portimão offer broader shopping and day-trip options.

Driving, holidays & local etiquette

Drive on the right and carry your licence, identification and vehicle documents. Seatbelts are compulsory; children under 13 should not sit in the front. Observe signs and road markings—police can issue on-the-spot fines.

Portugal’s public holidays include New Year’s Day, Freedom Day (25 April), Labour Day, Portugal Day (10 June), Assumption Day, Republic Day, All Saints’ Day, Restoration of Independence, Immaculate Conception and Christmas Day. Banks and public offices close, and transport may use Sunday timetables.
